APAC FM have been briefed to source a Mechanical Engineer for a leading engineering consultancy firm to specialize in data centre projects.
Your strategic thinking and adept project management skills will be crucial in achieving success and producing outstanding outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to develop detailed design models and simulations for mechanical and HVAC systems in data centre projects, employing advanced modelling techniques and industry standards.
- Take the lead in designing intricate mechanical systems customized for data centre environments, guaranteeing top-notch performance and efficiency in cooling, ventilation, and fire suppression.
- Innovate mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, integrating cutting-edge technologies to meet the unique demands of data centre infrastructure.
- Proactively oversee project activities to ensure they align with strategic goals, resolving significant conflicts or challenges with expertise while offering guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Hold primary responsibility for specific segments of design projects, maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and precision in execution. Represent the team in crucial internal and client-facing meetings, providing expert insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5-10 years mission critical experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification is desirable.
- Full Permanent Australian Work Rights.
- Must be able to secure a National Police Check.
