Our client Seno Engineering (Australia) Pty Ltd is independently owned engineering consultancy and mechanical service provider, specialised in delivering end-to-end Engineering Design, Construction Management and Mechanical services in building, wastewater, FMCG, food & beverage manufacturing.Seno offers range of turn-key solutions/services from concept planning to bespoke equipment design and build. The client has capability to deliver project on EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Management) basis and has a massive fully equipped fabrication workshop with machine shop to support in house fabrications including capabilities such a CNC & waterjet cutting.The client is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician in a full-time permanent role and you will be accountable for managing allocated projects to ensure zero harm, quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and profitability.As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for performing BIM Modelling, site measures and site inspections. Some of the indispensable duties that the Mechanical Engineering Technician should expect to perform include, but are not limited to preparing sketches, operating heavy machinery, and performing important calculations on the product.This opportunity will give you autonomy and challenge you to do what you do best on a variety of projects. AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.In this role your main responsibilities include:
- Conduct works maintenance servicing and carrying out repairs to equipment in a timely and professional manner.
- Inspecting production facilities for damage caused on machine installations, by corrosion, worn and tear, or leaks.
- Installing and maintaining equipment for monitoring factory production facilities of our clients.
- Installing production facilities using various tools or any sophisticated equipment.
- Maintain equipment by completing predictive or preventive maintenance, following manufacturers recommendation, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repair.
- Provide accurate, detailed, and itemised reports of all service, installation and breakdown calls in a timely manner.
- Assisting Mechanical Engineers in the design of mechanical equipment and plant
- Commissioning installation, overhaul, fault finding and servicing of mechanical services
- Leading by example and ensuring safety culture and the consistent adoption of safe work procedures
- Collecting and analysing data, carrying out complex computations and preparing diagrams
- Operate in accordance with the Company's Environment Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Ensure that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the immediate Supervisor
- 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician
- Experience of working in an engineering environment is ideal
- Experience with interpretation of various technical drawings including mechanical, electrical and general arrangement drawings
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of different Mechanical Design software
- Understand and thrive in a high compliance, process driven environment
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic fire drawings
