Role Descriptions for Water Treatment Service Technicians:
These are all full-time on-site and office-based roles for three Water Treatment Service Specialists, one engineering projects technical officer role and one Swimming Pool technician located at our Castle Hill, NSW, location.
As a Water Treatment Specialist, your responsibilities will include performing day-to-day Water Treatment operations, conducting analyses, troubleshooting, and maintaining Water Treatment systems and providing training to staff.
Role Description for Project Technical Officer:
The Project Technical Officer (PTO) will assist the Engineering Manager and Project Engineers deliver engineering projects on time, at the expected quality, and on budget. The PTO is also available to manage or assist in managing operating treatment plants and design and build standard products and engineered equipment or plants as required.
Must-have skills
- Clean driver's license
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Experience in the Water Treatment industry.
- Ability to operate and maintain Water Treatment systems.
- Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications are preferable but not necessary for a Water Treatment Service Technician and a Swimming Pool Service Technician.
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering is recommended for Project Technical Officer. Substantial field experience is suitable instead of education standards.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Water Treatment processes, equipment, and systems. This includes knowledge of chemical treatment, filtration, disinfection, and testing procedures.
- Mechanical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment used in Water Treatment, such as pumps, valves, and filters.
- Problem-solving Skills: Ability to diagnose issues with Water Treatment systems and develop effective solutions to ensure water quality and system efficiency.
- Communication Skills: Communicating effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors. This includes explaining technical information clearly and understandably.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately perform water quality tests and inspections and ensure that equipment is properly maintained and operated.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in environments that may require lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others while working with chemicals and equipment.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact professionally with customers, address their concerns, and provide a high level of service.
- Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computer systems and software used to monitor and control Water Treatment processes.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to Water Treatment to ensure compliance.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated with advancements in Water Treatment technology and industry best practices through ongoing training and education.
