We are searching for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to be added to our existing team of staff. If you are looking for Adelaide-based role, then this role may be for you.
Mechanical Engineering Technician will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical assembly and installation of the Air Conditioning system.
Responsibilities of the duties include, but are not limited to:
· Oversee the installation of commercial air conditioning systems.
· Organize and supervise assembly work so that correct procedures are followed on site, ensuring that the installation is completed according to specifications and on time.
· Report progress to construction manager and client;
· Comply with safety regulations and report any incidences.
· Assist Mechanical Engineers in the design, selection of equipment and materials for installation of mechanical system for HVAC projects
· Interpretation of technical drawings, plans and HVAC projects to ensure safe and correct mechanical installation of supports for equipment, ducts and pipes;
· Estimate costs and quantities of materials for installation of HVAC projects;
· Assist refrigeration technicians in the plant in the HVAC project ensuring that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions;
· Assist in the installation of HVAC ducts, fans, diffusers, grilles, air registers;
· Conducting inspections and functions tests of the mechanical assemblies of HVAC systems as part of the commissioning process.
To be successful in this role, the following skills and experience will be considered:
· Tertiary Qualification in Technical Mechanical Engineering;
· At least 3 years of work experience with in air conditioning industry is essential;
· White Card;
· Yellow Card (scissor lift license) and forklift licence is preferable;
· Valid SA Driver’s License;
· Have experience in AutoCad, Revit or similar software programs.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
· Hands-on practical mechanical experience;
· Able to work in a team and autonomously;
· High attention to detail;
· Good written and verbal communication skills;
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with excellent presentation and reporting skills.
· Based in Adelaide – South Australia;
· Immediate Start.
Benefits:
· Salary is AUD $72,000 per annum plus superannuation;
· Position is full-time (38 hours per week).
