Job description
Mechanical EngineeringTechnician to assist with the delivery of solar design and installation projects.
Key Accountabilities:
Interpret engineering design drawings for various mechanical and solar ground mount projects according to the relevant guidelines, standards and codes of practice.
Attend technical meetings with stakeholders and customers.
Select, order and maintain tools and equipment.
Carry out site inspections and measurements when required and report and document those observations in drawings or other records.
Conduct testing of construction equipment.
Set up machines.
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
Observe and follow health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
Ensure that construction is achieved in the most efficient and effective manner and adapt work as required.
Ensure that work is performed as per current schedule of works, carried out safely and meets the needs of customers.
Observe and implement the requirements of the SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) Management System and policies of HUNTER SOLAR PTY LTD for subcontractors and staff.
Perform other departmental duties commensurate with role and as required.
The successful candidate will possess:
Mechanical Engineering Technician background.
Experience in resource management.
Technical ability in the application of Australian Standards, industry best practices and methodologies.
A passion for solar and renewable energy.
Exceptional communication skills.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Must be willing to work on site, often at remote locations
