About the position
CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Mechanical Fitter/welder to join our transhipper, FOTB on a roster schedule 6 week on and 6 week off. This operation is based in Whyalla, South Australia. The role of the welder is to provide support to effective maintenance of machinery.
In addition, the Mechanical Fitter/welder will be responsible for:
- Routine and preventative maintenance of the vessel’s operating machinery;
- Conducting safety checks of material handling equipment;
- Adopting safe working practices;
- Supervision of Deck operators during routine maintenance tasks;
- Undertaking any other tasks assigned by the FOTB Manager;
- Any other cargo operation tasks as assigned by the FOTB Operations Manager.
About you
- Australian Citizen or Valid Unlimited Australian Work Visa (required)
- Valid AMSA Medical (required or ability to hold)
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Confined Spaces Entry Certificate
- MSIC (ability to hold)
