We are currently seeking aFitter and Turner - Operations Specialist to join our team and play a key role in our production and sales.
Position Overview: As the Fitter and Turner - Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work across all aspects of production and sales. You will be responsible for providing technical valve solutions to customers, representing the company at national water-related trade shows, and engaging in hands-on valve machining, testing, and inspection. This role offers a unique blend of technical expertise, customer interaction, and operational support.
Position Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical valve solutions to customer enquiries
- Represent the company at national water-related trade shows
- Engage in hands-on valve machining, testing, and inspection
- Contribute to the sales function, including provision of technical solutions and customer liaison
- Gain an understanding of all production personnel roles to offer support during absences
Additionally, there is a possibility for you to engage in product development and various internal human resource activities, such as staff selection, development, and management
Your Qualifications and Skill Set:
- CNC lathe experience/fitting and turning trade qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC lathe programming and operation in a production environment
- Mechanical background and ideally, prior experience with valves, or pumping
- Proficient in mathematics and/or hydraulic principles
- Prior experience in or willingness to be involved in the sales process
- Self-motivated with a positive outlook and the ability to motivate others
- Willingness to travel interstate to trade shows for 3 to 5 days, 3 or 4 times a year
- Ability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD
