2XM Recruit are currently working with a number of clients in the manufacturing and maintenance space offering permanent employment opportunities for a number of skilled Mechanical Fitters. We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitter / Fabricator for various opportunities based in the Western Sydney area.
Skills & Experience
- Australian Trade Diploma Certification III in Mechanical essential.
- Previous experience on rail, freight maintenance or service activities highly desirable or heavy maintenance components.
- Heavy industrial Fitters (Mining, Aviation, Naval, Earth / Mobile Plant & Bus industry) are eligible to apply.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role which includes; Servicing conveyor belt systems, replacing components as required such as bearings, gearboxes, lubricating them to ensure smooth running.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Fabrication / welding experience highly desirable (including use of a stick weld).
- Knowledge of industrial machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen & Police Check
