Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Shift: Monday to Friday - 6:00am-2:00pm - 1.5x Overtime on Saturdays and x2 on Sundays.

Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a talented Mechanical Fitter to join a maintenance team. This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong background in mechanical systems maintenance and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment and machinery within the facility.
Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards.
2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes of equipment malfunctions, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
3. Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and mechanical systems according to manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
4. Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to all relevant safety regulations, maintenance procedures, and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels.
5. Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance. Provide feedback on potential enhancements to maintenance procedures and workflow processes.
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and production staff, to address maintenance issues, prioritize tasks, and achieve departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Technical Expertise: Proficient in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment maintenance. Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, and automated machinery preferred.
2. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
3. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to upholding quality standards in maintenance procedures, documentation, and safety protocols.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
5. Certifications: Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field. Forklift license and working at heights certification desirable.
6. Experience: Minimum of 5 of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
7. Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
