The role:
Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Cheltenham Plant. In this role, you will conduct maintenance on all aspects of the site, including state of the art mixing plants, packaging lines, and all utilities areas for a single day time shift.

The hours of work will be 6am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday with 1 RDO each fortnight. You will also have the ability for overtime in this role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves and pumps
- Work with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and CMMS systems for preventative maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, safety checks, and equipment modifications
- Assist with root cause analysis and breakdown analysis
- Ensure operational safety devices and guards on equipment
- Efficiently and timely repair production equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement of preventative maintenance program
- Accurately document all maintenance activities
- Effective communication with team members and internal customers
- Adhere to plant safety rules and good housekeeping practices
Our ideal candidate may have:
- A Trade qualification with welding experience
- Fitting experience in a manufacturing environment
- A deep understanding of safety responsibilities and procedures
- The ability to problem solve
- Experience with stainless steel welding would be helpful
