Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4S Program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.
D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Servicestream Maintenance and WSP. Over a 6 year period, D4C will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry.
About the Role
D4C are in the process of building it's Operations Maintenance team. We want to put the call out to any aspiring Mechanical Fitters wanting to take on an Mechanical Apprenticeship that are interested in joining the D4C team from the beginning, to help develop this business into what we know it will be.
We will have Mechanical Apprenticeship working at a mixture of the below locations:
· Illawarra Region - Will include some travel with one of our Mechanical Fitters to jobs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As part of the Operations Maintenance team, you will be based in one of the Waste Water Treatment plant and have the opportunity to be trained by some of the most experience and highly skilled fitters in the Country.
Requirements for success:
Mandatory:
- Drivers Licence - Ideally with a vehicle however open to discussion
- A passion for discovery and technical understanding
- Reliable and honest work ethic
- Solid understanding of basic mathematics, (Yep, all that stuff you were taught at school that you never thought you would use in real life)
- A desire to learn how everything works
