We are currently searching for a 1st-year apprentice Mechanical Fitter. The apprenticeship is for 4 years (fixed term) and the successful applicant will undertake a structured training program both on-the-job and at an RTO.
Duties include:
- Maintenance and repair work to various equipment
- Assisting with breakdowns on a large amount of machinery
- Support with assemblies and rebuilds of equipment
- Maintaining service records
- Fault finding
- Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed correctly
- Promoting a safe and organized workplace
- Assisting with receiving and ordering of parts and accessories
- Ensuring that assigned training, job tasks and procedures are completed to a high standard.
Applicants will have:
- A minimum of Year 10 schooling with a demonstrated passion and interest in technology, STEM or sciences
- Demonstrated interests in mechanics
- A mature, can-do attitude with the ability to think logically and quickly;
- Possess technical problem solving skills
- Great communication skills with the ability to liaise and work effectively with others;
