Position
We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Sydney team and be our representation on client sites across Sydney Eastern Suburbs. We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated and want the opportunity to work for a business that has steady and secure ongoing casual work and permanent work with opportunities for daily and weekend overtime.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant Recognised Australian Trade Qualifications
- Assist with mechanical installations, monitoring, operations, repairs and routine maintenance of all assets on client site.
- Maintenance and repair of compressors, pumps, centrifuges, agitators, gearboxes, mechanical seals and similar apparatus
- Pipe installation, changing fittings and piping parts
- Pipe welding - TIG and Stick
- Dismantle and assembly of pressure vessels
- Strong written and verbal communication to liaise with operational staff and client
- Client sites include but are not limited to; Power, Mining, Manufacturing, Petro-chemical, and Water
- Working at heights, confined space, welding, EWP tickets well regarded but not essential
- Strong attention to detail, ability to take direction and work autonomously
- Ability to identify and resolve problems
- Current drivers license and reliable transportation
- Strong and focused work ethic
- Ability to pass a pre-employment including drug and alcohol screen
- Strong safety first/ zero harm mindset, ensuring WHS practices are maintained
