The Position
An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Mechanical Fitters to join this dynamic organisation. The successful applicant must be a self-starter, motivated, have strong problem solving skills as well as a high regard for health and safety. As well as possessing good communication, organisational and teamwork skills. Applicants may be required to take part in abilities testing as part of the recruitment process.
The person we are seeking must possess the following:
- A Fitting Trade Qualification.
- Physically fit and able to work in all areas of the mill.
- Ability to carry out shift work.
- Proven safety record.
Desirable Criteria include:
- Car, High risk, Elevated work platform, Fork truck, Mobile tractor crane licenses.
- Maintenance Rigging Skills.
- Being computer literate to be able to understand computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Basic Welding skills.
- Previous experience in heavy industry.
- Experience with auxiliary equipment.
Wages and conditions will be in accordance with the Opal Maryvale Mill Electrical & Plumbing Enterprise Agreement and will depend on the successful applicant’s skills and qualifications.
