Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm with offices all around the world. Their Australian subsidiary has been providing equipment and maintenance services to primary aluminium manufacturers for over 25 years.Due to business expansion, they now require 2 x Mechanical Fitters to join their onsite team at Tomago Aluminium.
Working in a crew of 10 your primary role will be undertaking inspection, maintenance and servicing of overhead cranes and associated parts throughout the plant. Other duties include;
- Complete installation and inspection on height safety equipment and devices.
- Inspection and change out of crane hoist wire ropes and associated equipment.
- Carry out fault find and repairs in a break down situation.
- Maintain a high standard of personal competency in the skills required for maintenance.
- Ensure all equipment and tooling conform with the relevant state legislative requirements.
- Uphold the prioritisation of projects to ensure completion within deadline.
- Work in a safe manner on the site to ensure WH&S requirements are met.
To be successful we require;
- Trade Certificate in a Mechanical Discipline - essential
- EWP Certification - desirable
- Knowledge and experience in Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- Work at Heights and Confined Spaces certification - desirable
- Strong safety awareness
- Dogman or basic rigging certification - desirable
- Forklift ticket - desirable
