Mechanical Hvac Supervisor

As a Mechanical HVAC Supervisor, you will have a pivotal role in the delivery of HVAC construction projects across Townsville. Your responsibilities will include the supervision, project management and delivery of several new build and refurbishment HVAC projects which range in value from $1 million - $5 million and will manage a team of up to 9. This position demands practical expertise in Air Handling Units, Ducted Splits, Fans, Chillers, CRAC Units, VRF Plant, DX Plant. The job entails a 40 hour work week with RDO options available as well. Compensation consists of a base salary around $115k-$120k (neg) plus 11% superannuation, utility vehicle or vehicle allowance, mobile phone allowance, fuel coverage and relocation and housing assistance if required. You'll also have the privilege of using the vehicle for some local personal use around the Townsville area. • Supervise, project manage and deliver new commercial and industrial HVAC installations, refurbishments and upgrades of HVAC systems such as Chillers, DX Plant, VRF Plant, Duct installations, Air Handling Units, Fans, CRAC Units etc
• Implement and manage all projects, to maximise resource efficiencies and overall profitability, including identifying and providing solutions for any potential project risks.
• Manage and run up to 6 projects at once in value from $1 million - $5 million.
• Supervise and allocate the daily and weekly work load for up to 9 team members.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, site inductions, SWMS, pre-starts.
• Compile and complete all compliance and handover documentation for project completion (including client specific and internal department handover information).
• Ensure compliance to all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Liaising with key clients to provide first class services and solutions by being the face of the business and delivering the highest level of quality.
• Managing your daily schedule and run efficiently.
• Review, approve and update simPRO schedules to capture accurate labour resources

ProfileQualifications and Experience:

• Trade certificate or qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, HVAC or Mechanical Plumbing.
• A minimum of 5 years post trade qualification experience as well as supervisory experience.
• Experience in the new installation and refurbishment of commercial or industrial HVAC&R systems.
• Proven experience supervising/managing several HVAC projects simultaneously and managing a team
• Experience working to best practices and Australian standards.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence.
• Current Refrigeration Handling (ARCtick) Licence or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to gain Security Clearances and Blue Card.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
