We are currently seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to join our team.
The Mechanical Superintendent will draw on their deep trade knowledge to provide leadership to supervisors, planners, engineers and other team members as required. Knowledge of people management, planning, procurement, project management, shutdown and project execution will all be key skills that will assist the Superintendent navigate their role successfully. The role will be a mix of site and office work.
Responsibilities will include:
- Mentor, coach, and effectively manage team performance while leading and inspiring them for safe and efficient project execution.
- Conduct pre-shut scoping to ensure ample time and resources for successful work completion.
- Provide necessary tools and information to support the team in achieving high standards.
- Actively promote and monitor safe work practices, offering safety-related guidance and feedback.
- Record incidents and hazards accurately, addressing them with clarity and consistency.
- Build positive client relationships for long-term partnerships.
- Manage work timing to meet client deadlines, providing detailed information for any variances.
- Ensure high-quality work delivery through rigorous quality assurance.
- Complete post-works reporting.
- Oversee all aspects of site execution, from mobilization to demobilization.
Applicants will also have:
- A relevant trade qualification
- Current unencumbered C class Western Australian Drivers Licence
- Experience with a CMMS and in contractual administration
- Front Line Management Certificate IV (desirable)
- Senior First Aid (desirable)
- Intermediate computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel and Project (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to engage, motivate and persuade all levels of stakeholders
- Demonstrate sufficient physical fitness to ascend ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift objects weighing up to 15kg
