Job description:
- Oversee and coordinating day to day works in the field
- Supervise all personnel within task / activity
- Run task / activity specific pre-starts
- Assist with and running sitewide pre-starts if required
- Assist with and presenting toolbox talks when required
- Produce daily manning plans
- Allocate sufficient resources to safely and efficiently execute task / activity
- Oversee Leading Hands
- Ensure the safety of your work crew
- Ensure supervised personnel adhere to HSE requirements
- Ensure correct PPE is worn by supervised personnel
- Ensure work crew have adequate training for their role
- Train personnel
- Report safety concerns / incidents to HSE advisors & Site Manager
- Report quality concerns to Quality Manager
- Report daily production numbers to Management
- Understand and ensure adherence to HSEMP
- Adhere to all safety responsibilities as set out under the HSEMP
- Understand and ensure adherence to QMP
- Assist Management with maintaining production expectations to maintain schedule
- Carry out inspections of personnel, plant and activities
- Take responsibility of a large team of people
- Hold personnel within team accountable
- Report on performance of personnel within team
- Be a contact on site for emergency / incident
- Ability to read and understand construction / design drawings
- Communication with other supervision to ensure teams work together
- Ensure quality of work from work crew
- Participate in meetings where required
- Stay up to date with project information, deadlines, schedule
- Task rotation of personnel
- Escort trucks / vehicles around site
- Ensure positive communication between workforces, including with other contractors
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy
- Competitive hourly rate with penalties including PIP
- Construction Induction Safety Card (White Card)
- Solar farm experience, specifically Nexttracker, preferred but not essential
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor
- Proficient in using Excel/Google sheets for activity tracking
- Australian Drivers Licence
