This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on employee’s well-being and contribute to the success of our growing organisation.About the OpportunityIn this newly create role the Return-to-Work Coordinator plays a vital role supporting our employee’s well-being by facilitating their Return to Work after injury/illness. You will play a crucial role in managing workers' compensation claims in collaboration with our external Injury Management provider. Working closely with operational teams, you'll ensure timely return-to-work processes and compliance with workers' compensation obligations. This is a permanent part-time position of 0.6FTE, with flexibility available regarding days/ hours.Key Responsibilities:The Return-to-Work Coordinator is responsible for but not limited to:
- Providing accurate and timely advice in relation workers compensation and Return to Work
- Coordination of return-to-work for employees regarding work and non-work related injuries/ illness
- Develop and implement Return to Work plans in collaboration with employees, medical professionals, and management
- Maintain vendor relationships with our external Injury Management provider including ensuring timely provision of services
- Coordinating workplace assessments with allied health providers
- Providing payment instructions to Payroll regarding workers compensation
- Preparing and submitting wage reimbursement schedules to Workers compensation insurers
- Regular reporting to key stakeholders on workers compensation claims and non-work-related injuries
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records regarding workers compensation claims and/ or non-work-related injuries
- Understanding of workers compensation legislation across various states
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
- Highly motivated to be proactive, showing initiative and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated patience, with the ability to Work sensitively and professionally on complex matters
- Formal Return-to-Work Coordinator qualified (any state)
- Degree qualified in Occupational Therapy, Safety or similar experience/ related tertiary qualifications (desired but not necessary)
- Proven work experience in an Injury Management role
- Prior exposure to an Injury Management model involving Third Party triaging (desired)
