We are currently looking for Mechanical Technician to join our team!
Main Purpose
The Mechanical Technicians are responsible for assisting with the day to day workshop activities
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist with the day to day workshop operations
- Liaise with and supervise external contractors as required
- Carry out duties related to mechanical workshop
- Monitor and undertake repairs and servicing for all Ducats Trucks and equipment
- Test run plant and equipment following major repairs
- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles and equipment
- Analyzing diagnostic test results
- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
- Performing preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced equipment
- Maintaining a parts inventory
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop
Skills and Experience
- Diploma or Certificate in mechanical or automotive engineering
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of engine components
- Good IT and diagnostic skills
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
- Attention to detail - Must have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
