Mechanical Trades Assistant

Start your engines! Aerial Access is seeking a Mechanical Trades Assistant in Bridgewater, Tasmania to join the team and deliver the ultimate service to our clients and customers.

The work:

The key responsibility of this role is to assist our vehicle mechanics to ensure that all machinery, plant, and other equipment is safe for use and in road-worthy condition. Our mechanics service, repair, and maintain our diesel fleet vehicles, equipment, and machinery including Elevated Work Platform's (EWP), tippers, chippers, specialised all-terrain equipment. You will rotate throughout the week between duties such as:

• Ordering spare parts and maintaining inventory
• Washing the vehicles and machinery
• Assisting Mechanics with servicing and maintenance work
• Ensuring all workshop tools, equipment, machinery, and worksites are kept cleaned and maintained
• Providing overall support to our Fleet Department

What you will need:

• A current Drivers Licence 
• The ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Positive attitude with a demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and develop
• MR or HR Drivers Licence (desirable)
• Previous Mechanical Workshop experience (desirable)
