Austunnel has both immediate start and future project work available in Sydney and NSW for experienced tradespersons who know how to get the job done, safely and efficiently.

The Opportunity:

Austunnel is currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced mechanical fitters, heavy duty diesel fitters, auto electricians to join our team. These are opportunities for skilled tradespeople to work on major tunnelling projects across NSW.

Essentials:

• Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification
• Excellent attitude, focus and understanding towards working safely, including following all procedures on site including correct PPE
• Minimum two years’ experience in the construction, mining, or tunnelling industries
• General Safety Induction Card (White Card)
• Availability to work night shift, rotating rosters and weekend rosters
• Must have experience in one of the following: roadheaders, drill rigs, heavy vehicles, TBMs, conveyor systems and structures, slurry treatment plant, and/or other underground mobile mining plant that is relevant in the tunnelling industry

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Roadheader experience
• Drill rig or Jumbo experience
• Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) experience
• Underground experience
• Earth moving plant experience
• Conveyor Systems
• Slurry Treatment Plant
• Safe Working at Heights
• High risk WP (over 11m)

These roles are not FIFO or  and will be well suited to people looking to return home to NSW or those wanting to travel and explore Sydney and NSW.
