Exciting times are ahead at our specialised workshop as we continue to expand and take on new challenges. We have a permanent opportunity for a Mechatronic Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will report into our Engineering Manager based down the hill at our Ventia Withcott Facility. You will get to work with a great team in a thrilling environment. We believe in creating a work environment that fosters growth and development. This role is suitable for someone who is looking to grow their experience within the Oil and Gas industry. This is a fulltime role, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key responsibilities will include and not be limited to:
You will be involved in a varied and engaging scope of work, encompassing project tasks, design, and testing across a blend of mechanical and electrical equipment for upgrades, retrofits, and new custom designs for drilling and well servicing rigs.

About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering
- Ideally 5 years professional experience, with an ability to obtain RPEQ/CPEng
- Electrical design, control systems and safety systems design experience
- PLC, HMI programming experience
- Troubleshooting and diagnosis experience
- Prior experience working with heavy automated equipment is advantageous, particularly using hydraulic motive power
- Some experience with Solidworks (Mechanical CAD) is advantageous
- Ability to work in a close team environment with other engineering disciplines
- Great communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with office, trade and site personnel
- Strong knowledge with Excel and the Microsoft suite
