The company
As a multi-national organisation, this group has established branches in all key centers of Australia. They are an organisation that excels in the sale of hydraulic componentry, they provide workshop and on-site field service and have an in-house dedicated mechanical engineering team in Perth.
The position
As the Mechatronics Engineer, you will work across a variety of system applications from industrial to mining, marine and mobile plant equipment. This is an all-encompassing role, where you will liaise with clients, workshop staff, and the engineering team and be required to go to the site, review work and be actively involved with installation and commissioning. You will also design hydraulics circuits, calculate fluid and pressure requirements in determining correct product selections.
Duties include:

• Design hydraulic circuits and mechanical components
• Liaise with clients in determining their requirements and outcomes
• Work with in-house engineers and workshop staff
• Source product for small to medium project application
• Prepare full scope of works, MOR’s and IOM’s
• Travel to site to review requirements and be present for commissioning duties

Skills & experience required:

• Have a minimum of 5 plus years of industrial mechatronics experience
• Be fluent in mechanical fluid power hydraulic applications
• Have the ability to multi-task and work away from your desk
• Be competent in preparing estimations and costs
• Be able to program and code PLC systems
