The Robotic Welding System uses Panasonic robots and advanced vision guidance and is a world first in boat building.
Overview of the Role
Located in Dandenong South with easy access to freeway, you will be working as a key member of the Production Team in a very interesting environment.
The Robotic Welding System Operator will undertake training and then assume responsibility for operation.
This is a long-term permanent position, working with your interest in developing expertise in highly specialized welding robotics.
Once familiar with the system, you will be setting up the welding parameters, including robot positional programming, welding sequences and welding conditions, to effectively and efficiently carry out welds. This will involve carrying out welding operations and checking welds against welding boundary samples.
Key Responsibilities Once Trained:
- Planning and programming sequences;
- Planning welding parameters and techniques;
- Positional programming utilizing the system teach pendant;
- Testing program sequences through to weld testing;
Profile:
The applicant will ideally have some experience in a machine programming role however we are happy to accept applications from enthusiastic graduates looking for a steppingstone role.
Ideally an applicant will possess the following attributes and qualities:
- Experience or expertise in machine programming or robot operation
- An eye for detail to inspect / compare welded parts;
- Troubleshooting skills and a common sense approach to problem solving;
- Good communication skills.
- Enthusiastic to always find better ways to improve efficiency
