About the role
As a Systems Accountant at AEMO, you will harness systems, processes, and data to deliver precise and timely financial information, ensuring compliance and transparency. Reporting to the Manager of Finance Systems, your role focuses on governing and optimizing finance systems to meet business and financial objectives, along with statutory and management reporting needs. This role will initially be part of the UpLift finance project which is implementing the Microsoft Dynamics 365 finance and operations ERP system.
What you will be doing
- Implement approved master data, process, and configuration changes while adhering to data standards and procedures.
- Conduct compliance activities for systems, data and processes to maintain their security health.
- Maintain finance systems to ensure operational effectiveness, data accuracy, and reporting integrity.
- Partner with the Manager, Accounting Advisory, and Financial Operations team to implement approved accounting policies in the general ledger, ensuring GL integrity.
- Update and modify finance business processes in line with implemented system changes or approved process updates.
What you will bring to the role
- CPA/CA qualified accountant with proven experience in system accounting, security, data and finance process implementation.
- Demonstrate agility in grasping complex concepts swiftly, thinking creatively to achieve optimal business outcomes, and embracing change.
- Exhibit strong personal leadership, responding positively to management requests, and effectively managing tasks independently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to cultivate and manage cross-functional relationships, collaborating effectively to resolve intricate issues.
