The Child Development Network (CDN) is a Specialist Paediatric multidisciplinary practice that focuses on children with developmental and behavioural challenges. CDN is a privately owned, family friendly practice that prides itself on the positive and caring relationships that we develop with families and our team.
Our caring and enthusiastic administration team provides support to our Paediatricians, Psychologists, Social Worker, Speech Pathologist and Education specialists.
We are currently looking for an experienced Medical Administrator/ Receptionist to work full time 5 days per week or part time 3 - 4 days per week. This is a varied role with shifts on reception and in the administration area.
This role may suit candidates looking to move from General Practice to Specialist practice or receptionists wanting more variety.

Responsibilities- Meeting and greeting families
- Booking & managing appointments
- Managing patients' billing, receipting and online claiming
- Managing and responding to emails from families and Clinicians
- Preparation and maintenance of Clinicians appointment schedules
- Taking incoming telephone calls and assisting families with enquiries
- General administrative duties; scanning, maintaining patient records and printing and posting documents
- Assist Clinicians & Practice Manager with day-to-day administrative support and operations of the practice
- Taking an active part in working closely with other team members to manage daily tasks and exceeding families and clinicians service expectations
- Professional presentation and approach to work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy at all times
- Well-developed understanding of Medicare billing & item numbers and private billing
- Able to function in a highly organised and time efficient manner at all times
- High level computer experience with medical practice software and Microsoft Office
- Outstanding people skills with the ability to relate well to patients, health care professionals and team members
A minimum of 1 years' experience in a healthcare or allied health practice in a reception and/ or administration role is essential.
