Access theAbout the rolePermanent full time opportunity to provide administrative and systems support in relation to confidential Medical Records (paper and digital). Contribute to patient flow by ensuring the presence of required medical files and information internally and externally as required in both paper and digital form (ieMR).About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Administer release of information in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and statutory requirements. This includes mid level interpretation and communication of patient information contained within the medical record and other hospital information systems to authorised external enquirers.
  • Contribute to the daily operations of the Medical Records department by providing advice and support to staff as required.
  • Process, receipt and track incoming and outgoing patient Medical Records accurately to ensure charts are accessible for timely continuity of patient care.
  • Execute ethical decision-making in the achievement of departmental and organisational objectives.
  • Prioritise workload effectively and perform duties responsibly in the absence of supervision.
