Job description

About the Role

MLER Case Manager is responsible for medical entitlement reviews to determine appropriateness of Medical and Like Entitlements, engage workers & providers, complete decision process & draft outcome notices. Coordinate and facilitate case conferencing and team review with IMA’s and Technical Manager’s to develop case management action plans.

Required Expertise

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in medical entitlement reviews
  • Strong working knowledge of Workplace Injury Rehabilitation & Compensation Act 2013 and associated Regulations, and/or a Legal Qualification
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Decision making, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with different IT applications
  • Manage all claims in portfolio ensuring timely response and appropriate treatment
  • Cease benefits as appropriate
  • Ensure file notations are made consistently as required
