As a Locum Registered Nurse within our Ward Nursing team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to individuals across Hospitals and Health Services in the Hunter New England, (HNE) NSW region.
We require Registered Nurses who are able to commit to a 4-12 week, or multiple ongoing contract(s).
Your responsibilities will encompass Ward Medical and/or Surgical registered nurse duties in a hospital and inpatient setting.
This dynamic and flexible locum role will involve collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, assessment and planning of patient care, medication administration, and maintaining accurate documentation.
The Hunter New England Local Health District covers a region of 131,785 square kilometers, and home to the following hospitals, in which we provide year round nursing contract support to:
Armidale, Barraba, Belmont, Bingara, Boggabri, Bulahdelah, Cessnock, Denman, Dungog, Emmaville/Vegetable Creek, Glen Innes, Gloucester, Gunnedah, Guyra, Inverell, John Hunter, Kurri Kurri, Maitland, Manilla, Merriwa, Moree, Murrurundi/Wilson, Muswellbrook, Narrabri, Nelson Bay, Newcastle Mater, Quirindi, Scone, Singleton, Tamworth, Taree/Manning, Tenterfield/Prince Albert, Tingha, Walcha, Warialda, Wee Waa, Werris Creek and Wingham.

To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Qualifications: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in Medical and/or Surgical nursing in a hospital and inpatient setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with patients and team members.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary.
