Despite being a bustling Medical Centre, we’ve maintained a 0% staff turnover rate for receptionists and nurses for over two years, testament to our positive work environment. Qualifications & experience
- Education in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration
- Minimum of 2 years in medical or surgical office management or equivalent, with proven capability in managing team environments.
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in medical software; basic financial management skills.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude; ability to work independently; commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of patient information.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth scheduling, patient flow, and office efficiency.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups, to optimise schedules and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and medical equipment, including ordering and negotiating with vendors.
- Serve as the point of contact for patients, providing information, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Handle patient billing and insurance verification with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain meticulous patient records, adhering to privacy act guidelines and ensuring data privacy.
- Process financial transactions and book keeping, including billing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Work with our payroll team to ensure timely and accurate communication of timesheets and doctors billings.
- Ensure the practice is compliant with all relevant healthcare regulations, and local health department standards.
- Implement and review office policies and procedures to improve workflow and patient care.
