- Salary: $227,591 to $299,884 (Pro-Rata) – MD2 – Part Time 0.4 FTE / Term Contract up to 30 June 2025
Overview:
The Medical Liaison, State Health Coordination Centre (SHCC):
- Will provide clinical subject matter expertise and form an integral input and feedback link for clinicians during the development and operation of the SHCC, an integrated, multiagency solution to deliver 24/7 monitoring and oversight of system-wide operations delivering consumer centred, integrated and more seamless care across SA Health to the SA community.
- Will engage with stakeholders to support and lead projects and system-wide operations delivering consumer centred, integrated and more seamless care across SA Health to the SA community.
- Will contribute to education, research and development projects and quality assurance programs associated with the SHCC , optimising outcomes
- Will encourage and support teamwork, an integrated daily learning system and improvement culture within the service.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia and with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, (FACEM), Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or College of Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM) or another Specialty Medical College as recognised in the SA Salaried Medical Officers Award
- The position will require participation in after-hours shifts and may involve an on-call roster; some out of hours work will be required.
- As this is a new and emerging service, there may be a requirement to alter or change the service delivery model to meet the changing needs of the broader health system.
- Must be prepared to attend relevant meetings and staff development/education activities
