About the role

An opportunity has become available for a Part time Medical Scientist at our Histology Department located at Subiaco Western Australia.

In this role you will conduct a range of diagnostic testing that requires the applications of scientific technical knowledge and skills, within the histology department.

This position involves working in a fast paced environment and will be suitable for an individual who prides themselves in the level of accuracy in their work. The preferred applicants will be flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.

The successful applicant will have previous histology and cut-up experience and the ability to rotate through shifts including evening shifts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Histology laboratory environment
  • High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills.
  • The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services.
  • Have own transport and be able to take part in weekend and evening rosters including public holidays.
