Cann I Help is Australia’s leading specialist Medicinal Cannabis clinic. We operate a network of clinics and independent clinicians throughout Australia, from our administrative base in Brisbane.
Cann I Help aims to provide an accessible, affordable and high-quality service allowing an increasing number of patients to benefit from medicinal cannabis treatment. We believe that treatment with medicinal cannabis should not be considered in isolation, and hence our clinics offer a comprehensive, holistic and patient centered approach, working closely with the patient’s regular primary care team.
Role:
We are seeking generally registered Medical Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners to join our friendly team. We are looking for someone who can work in a challenging and developing environment with flexible working hours. This is a great opportunity to develop specialist skills in medicinal cannabis and gain experience within this exciting new area of medicine. The ideal candidates will have experience of the assessment and management of patients with chronic pain and/or mental health conditions. Previous experience of prescribing Medicinal Cannabis is not required – full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn, excellent communication skills and will work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial patient assessments with the support of our specialist nursing team – face-to-face and/or telehealth consultations
- Prescribing of medicinal cannabis products in accordance with best clinical practice and all relevant state and TGA regulations.
- Undertaking structured patient follow up consultations, and taking responsibility for ongoing patient care.
- Liaising with other healthcare practitioners as required for the purpose of providing holistic and well-coordinated care.
- Working within our Rapid Access Clinic, providing on demand patient advice and consultations.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records at all times
- Maintaining confidentiality in accordance with company policy and good clinical practice.
Required Skill/Experience:
- Current general registration with AHPRA unrestricted.
- Experience in the assessment and management of patients with chronic pain and/or mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to function well within a team of clinicians.
- A commitment to providing an excellent standard of patient care.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
