SouthDerm is a leader in the provision of dermatological health services, including a day surgery, specialist dermatology clinics, cosmetic dermatology and Mohs surgery located in Kogarah.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced receptionist to work on a full-time or part-time basis in our specialist dermatology clinics and Day Surgery.
This exciting position as the face of SouthDerm and is responsible for providing high quality customer services to our patients and to our doctors. We offer opportunities to learn all aspects of Customer Service.

About the Role
- Receiving, greeting, admitting and discharging patients
- Handling a busy switchboard, responding and directing enquiries in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner
- Assessment of patient health fund eligibility and associated out of pocket expenses
- Accurate data entry of patient information
- Admission of day surgery patients and associated paperwork
- Maintaining and controlling of cash float
- Ensuring the dignity, privacy and comfort of all patients at all times and in all circumstances
- Working closely with the Customer Service Manager, Operations Manager and other team members regarding pre-admission requirements and any ad hoc duties requested.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with strong work ethic and should be comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, administrators and non-clinical staff.
- Previous Medical Reception Customer Service experience.
- High attention to detail
- Superior organisational skills
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience either in a medical administration setting or a patient-facing role
- Experience with Patient Management Systems will be highly regarded
- Medical terminology course and experience will be highly regarded
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; the ability to engage positively with all stakeholders
