We have an opening for a friendly and enthusiastic part-time Medical Receptionist at our busy specialist practice, located at St John of God Hospital Bunbury.
The hours for this role are 8:30am – 5:00pm on Mondays and Fridays. The applicant must also be available to cover sick/annual leave as needed.
The main duties will include but not limited to:
- Meeting and greeting patients on arrival
- Scheduling appointments and theatre bookings.
- Creating and maintaining patient records in Zedmed medical software
- Invoicing and receipting
- Manage a high volume of enquiries/phone calls in a friendly manner
- General administrative duties – scanning, completing paperwork etc.
- Maintaining the highest level of patient confidentiality and privacy
Skills and experience required:
- Experience in a similar role within specialist rooms or general practice (at least 1-2 years preferable)
- Highly organised and efficient with an attention to detail.
- Competent computer skills
- Exceptional customer service focus with a warm and friendly manner
- A basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Medical typing experience is desirable, but not essential
