Medical Receptionist

A busy gynaecology practice in Mandurah requires a Medical Receptionist to join their friendly and supportive team for two days per week - Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

• Immediate start, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

• Small supportive team/doctor owned/operated private practice

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous Medical Reception experience preferably in a specialist practice  
• Self-motivation, problem solving skills and the ability to work either cohesively in a small team environment or independently is essential
• Experience using Genie Medical Software including billings, Eclipse, HIC online, EFTPOS
• Coordinating all aspects of surgical bookings and billing process
• Ability to multitask with keen attention to detail
• Ability to adjust and adapt to practice requirements  
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook  
• Excellent customer service to patients, other providers and hospital staff as well as excellent communication skills within the office team environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds at all times being kind and compassionate
• Maintain a high level of written and verbal communication skills. This includes a professional telephone manner and written email communications  

Essential Criteria

• Ability to cover full-time hours on occasion when other staff are on leave
• Demonstrated empathetic, compassionate and professional demeanour
• Proof of COVID vaccination
• Ability to work in Australia

Duties:

• Efficiently managing clinics and booking appointments
• Triage and process referrals
• Theatre bookings including liaising with hospitals and anaesthetists
• Meeting/greeting of patients  
• Answering phones and making appointments  
• Coordinating and managing clinic/theatre sessions
• Liaising with various pathology and radiology providers to schedule scans and follow up results prior to clinic 
• Accounts - billing/receipting money, banking and the use of EFTPOS 
• Scanning/entering clinical data  
• Management of computerised diary  
• Other duties as required by the Practice Manager
