Exciting Opportunity: Medical Receptionist (Full-Time or Part-Time)
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team, preferably on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- First Impressions Matter: Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming first point of contact for all patients and visitors.
- Efficient Scheduling: Manage patient appointments, including theatre bookings and a variety of doctor-led and nurse-led cosmetic procedures.
- Patient Communication: Handle calls and maintain high-level communication with new and existing patients, ensuring timely and consistent follow-ups.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and manage daily clinic billings and payments, including Medicare, DVA, and third-party claims.
- Administrative Excellence: Oversee incoming and outgoing emails, respond to online enquiries, and prepare medical and cosmetic quotes as per treatment plans.
- Operational Support: Perform end-of-day banking, generate reports, and provide general administrative support to our team.
- Reception Management: Keep our reception and waiting areas tidy, manage office supplies, and maintain office IT equipment.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, preferably in a specialist medical or Dermatology practice.
- Experience with Genie software or strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare and DVA item numbers, billing, and referral requirements.
- Flexibility to work opening and closing shifts (practice hours are 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday).
- A proactive approach and a commitment to superior customer service and patient care.
- A true desire to be part of a supportive, productive, and reliable team environment.
- A resilient work ethic, demonstrating initiative, independence and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional, compassionate, and respectful manner.
