Form of workWe are a leading Dermatology specialist practice based in Brisbane seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist.
We require highly motivated individuals with excellent organisational and time
management skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as productive members of our friendly team. You must enjoy a fast-paced work environment and take pride in a providing a premium level of service to doctors and patients.
FULL TIME POSITION:
Monday to Friday (76 hours / fortnight) with one rostered day off
each fortnight. No weekend work is involved but you must be flexible with some early start and late finish times on a rotating roster.
Your duties will include:
- General medical reception and administration including filing
- Answering incoming phone calls and assisting with enquiries including emails
- Arranging and confirming patient appointment bookings
- Greeting and checking in patients
- Processing and receipting of patient accounts
- Medicare and DVA billing procedures
- Liaising with various specialists and hospital departments
About you:
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
- At least 2 years’ experience working within a similar role is preferred
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, troubleshoot and problem solve
- Ability to work productively and efficiently in a friendly team environment
- Genie or similar software program experience is highly advantageous
- A strong knowledge of Medicare, DVA and Private Health Fund billing
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional and warm approach
- Awareness of medical ethics and confidentiality
- A willingness to learn new skills and to further develop in the role
