The Clinical Pharmacology team at Flinders Medical Centre are looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Scientist!
About the Role:
An experienced health researcher/data scientist with a PhD in network analysis or machine learning and experience with health data will be appointed at 0.3 FTE for two years to conduct the proposed analyses under the close supervision of the Principal and Co-Investigator and the Additional Investigators from Flinders University and the Australian Institute for Machine Learning at the University of Adelaide. Their main tasks will be in familiarisation with the network analysis software (Neo4j and/or Python), data cleaning and preparation, creating the various drug-disease-patient networks, extraction of network features, phenotyping using community detection algorithms, and with assistance in modelling of the health outcome data using supervised machine learning algorithms.
About you:
- PhD in Network Analysis, Machine Learning, or related discipline (e.g. epidemiology or pharmacoepidemiology).
- Experience with Health data.
- Experience in epidemiology and/or pharmacology studies involving large patient datasets.
- Excellent knowledge of mainstream statistical practices and working on large patient datasets.
- Experience in analysing datasets of complex multimorbid patients.
