About the role
- Responsible for the management of the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory, FMC.
- Contributes to the overall management of the Surgical Pathology Directorate through membership of the Directorate Management Group.
- Provide support for research and teaching and is involved in the general management of the Department.
- Demonstrate increased professional expertise, competence, and experience to perform standard professional tasks within the discipline.
- Provide professional services to client groups in circumstances requiring increasingly complex practice skills.
- Apply scientific specialist knowledge towards the performance, analysis and troubleshooting of standard diagnostic procedures.
- Apply professional judgement to select and apply new and existing methods and techniques.
- Demonstrate expertise obtained through appropriate professional development and operational experience.

Essential Requirements:
Educational/Vocational Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent.
