GI Pathology is a histopathology laboratory in West Leederville, specialising in pathology of the gastro-intestinal tract.
A permanent full time position exists for a Histopathology Medical Scientist to join our dynamic and growing team. The working hours are Monday to Friday 5am to 1pm.
Key duties are as follows:
* Histopathology embedding
* Processor maintenance
* Slide staining and distribution
* Microtomy
* Annual leave relief involving evening cut up of transfer and simple specimens.
The successful applicant will need to possess a Bachelor of Medical Science or similar qualification, and have experience in histopathology embedding, microtomy, and cut up of transfer and simple specimens.
In addition, the successful applicant will need to be able to work unsupervised, possess a high degree of attention to detail, demonstrate initiative and be a team player.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
