It has over 800 employees with employees residing in the beautiful Mudgee area, with all the facilities for a fantastic family lifestyle.Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesBased on site at Moolarben Coal Operations and reporting to the Commercial Superintendent, you will be a part of the Complex commercial team. Working closely with the operational departments, you will play an integral role in providing financial guidance ensuring on-going cost-effective operations and preparation of capital applications.Key responsibilities:

• Assist operational departments with preparation of capital applications including appropriate financial analysis in line with policy.
• Month end accounting, including preparation of Management Accounts, operating cost variance analysis and KPI measurement.
• Analysis of Mine Site profit/loss with commentary as well as capital project reporting.
• Financial modelling and forecasting activities, providing business insights for management.
• Business partnering with Department Managers and facilitation of cost review meetings to provide key stakeholders with financial performance results and insights.
• Contribute to the development of annual Budget and Five-Year plans.
• Supporting the asset management lifecycle, including monitoring of assets under construction and fixed asset registers.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years' post qualification experience - mining or industrial experience preferred
• Tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business.
• CPA or CA, qualified or willingness to undertake study.
• Familiar with using a financial ERP system (SAP experience advantageous)
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with leaders.
• Well organised and confident in handling a substantial workload and competing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
