Who are we?
Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation and is committed to its mission to prevent aquatic related death and injury across all Victorian communities. LSV is a recognised agency of Emergency Management Victoria and provides emergency response services across the state through its vast network of lifesaving clubs, lifeguards, marine and aerial rescue services. LSV is a Registered Training Organisation and a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
How will this position contribute to Life Saving Victoria’s purpose?
Reporting to the Manager—Participation and Member Development, you will lead the coordination and delivery of Member Development programs and initiatives, facilitate programs and implement strategies that support our volunteer workforce's retention, recognition, development, and upskilling.
This is a fulltime, position. In return Life Saving Victoria will provide a great work environment, variety, employee benefits including salary packaging, and great office amenities and facilities.
The role will be based in Port Melbourne, with the ability to work flexibly from regional office including Geelong and Carrum Downs or home some of the week. This role will require the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and after hours and require a current Australian Driver’s License
Who are you?
This position would ideally suit someone who has previous experience working with and developing volunteers, including strong facilitation, event, and program management experience. You will have experience developing and supporting membership pathways, with an understanding of Child Safety requirements. You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Sports Management, education, Outdoor Education or similar. Requiring someone who has the ability to work independently, able to coordinate multiple projects and has a high level of competence in MS-Office Suite, and canva.
