About the Client:
A Not-for-Profit Member Association, supporting Public Schools within NSW. They are committed to a free public education system for all, regardless of gender, race, or culture. Their members assist in running the school canteens, OOSH, uniforms shops, bands, fetes, and fundraisers
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Membership Manager to lead a team of two direct reports, providing high quality member services across all channels and formats.
The ideal candidate will be passionate and confident, take initiative and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management capabilities. Ideally, you will have previous experience working within a member association or peak body, have a customer-focused approach, and strong mentor and leadership to develop your small team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead the member services team, providing coaching and performance management for staff
- Manage insurance services for members, including the relationship with the insurance provider
- Represent the organisation externally. This will include participation in high level meetings, and presenting at conferences and forums as required
- Lead ongoing digital transformation of the member experience, including data analysis and data driven campaigns to attract greater engagement
- Ensure that member record keeping meets best practice standards
- Drive continuous innovation and business development
- Navigate sensitivities in what can be a complex environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
To be successful you will have:
- The ability to commence in this role end of January/early February, no notice periods please!
- Demonstrated management experience in a member services, customer services, or community development environment
- Highly developed written, oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- A flexible approach with the ability to deliver work on own initiative and under pressure
- Strong analytical capacity with the ability to implement data driven decision making
