As a Mental Health Clinician you will provide evidence- based clinical case management, assessment, and psychological interventions to clients in the community with mental illness. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, therapeutic Mental Health services to clients.
Your role may include:
- Triage, intake and assessment
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and case formulations
- Provide evidence-based focused psychological and behavioural interventions
- Perform functional assessments
- Collaborate in shared care approaches, such as joint sessions with the referring Uniting team, case review discussions, and documentation/reports to share information and make recommendations
- Facilitate Mental Health service linkage and navigation, including care coordination
- Conduct individual and/or group sessions to support individuals' Mental Health and wellbeing
- You’ll have Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Social Work. Membership to AHPRA Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, or eligibility for membership to AASW Australian Association of Social Workers
- 1-3 years’ experience of clinical practice field within the Mental Health providing high quality triage, assessment and evidence based psychological interventions
- Ability to collaboratively plan and coordinate a comprehensive bio-psychosocial approach and interventions to meet the needs of clients.

headspace Penrith and Mount Druitt, run by Uniting, aims to reduce the burden of disease in young people aged 12-25 years caused by Mental Health and related substance use disorders through early identification and effective, evidence-based intervention.
