Our Mental Health Team, based out of Alice Springs provides greater access to services in remote communities to contribute to improved Mental Health outcomes.

About this Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Mental Health Service Manager, you will be inspired to deliver a stepped Mental Health service that is evidence based and culturally safe in the context of remote First Nations communities across regional and remote Australia.
You will be supported to deliver moderate intensity Mental Health services to clients who are not able to access appropriate services due to living in remote locations or being ineligible for existing services. Delivering evidence based psychological interventions, you will utilise a combination of telephone, telehealth, and face to face consulting methods to achieve positive outcomes for RFDS SA/NT clients.
You will be a vital resource to remote communities, ensuring to identify activities to further develop - and increase awareness of - Mental Health and emotional wellbeing services.
About You
You are:
- Experienced in the delivery of Mental Health interventions in line with National Standards for Mental Health Services and practices
- Aware of treatment approaches for remote First Nations communities and associated healing practices
- Experienced in integrating existing government and non-government agencies and other human service providers in the planning and delivery of services.
- Experienced in the implementation of Mental Health and social and emotional wellbeing health promotion activities.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology.
- Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A current and valid drivers licence, issued from an Australian state or territory.
