About us:Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) provides complex secondary and tertiary level health care and offers specialised Mental Health services for families with children and young people (birth to 18 years) who experience severe and complex Mental Health problems, and where their needs cannot be met by other services.
About the role:The Speech Therapist - Senior for EVOLVE:
- Collaborates across a variety of multidisciplinary, specialist, professional teams operating across three Child and Youth Mental Health Service sites, Rockhampton, Gladstone and Emerald.
- Provide professional judgement, advice, assessments and reports to contribute to and participate in multidisciplinary case management. Assessment formulation and timely and appropriate treatment interventions, consistent with current best practice.
- Demonstrate ability to manage a complex clinical caseloads and independent clinical practice and provide advocacy for consumers and their families/carers.
- Work cooperatively and effectively to provide referral, liaison and interagency collaborative care planning within a multidisciplinary team and as a member of specific discipline group to achieve best practice outcomes for consumers and carers.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Pathology and be eligible for practicing membership to Speech Pathology Australia.
- Deliver professional speech pathology clinical services in assessment and treatment of children and young people (and their carer networks) with severe and complex Mental Health issues as a member of a multidisciplinary team to maximise outcomes.
- Be able to provide clinical professional services including biopsychosocial assessment, treatment planning, case management and written reports as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Have a competent level of knowledge and skill in specialist Mental Health clinical area including complex trauma and attachment as it pertains to children, young people and their carers and support networks.
Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $76,387 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $62.75 - $67.53 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
