About the facility
Barwon health is the major regional healthcare provider for the Barwon South West region. It is Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8,000 staff and more than 1000 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation.
About the role
Provide clerical, secretarial and receptionist services to the Barwon Health Mental Health, Drugs & Alcohol Services in order to enable teams to provide courteous, efficient and clinically effective care for people with major mental illness and/or drug and alcohol issues. There are Mental Health, Drugs & Alcohol Teams located throughout the Geelong Region at a number of locations and travel to each of these locations will be required as part of this role in order to provide administration cover. This position will cover leave for administration assistants based at the teams/programs within Mental Health, Drugs & Alcohol Services.

Essential: Completion of Year 12 schooling or equivalent
Essential: Post-secondary training at certificate or higher in Secretarial and/or Business studies or equivalent experience
Essential: Competence in the use of office equipment including photocopiers, facsimile machines, scanners, electronic switchboard and computers.
Desirable: Knowledge of databases including but not limited to The Care Manager, BOSS, RAPID, iPMs (training provided).
Desirable: Experience in an organisation delivering human services to disadvantaged or disabled people.
