Mental Health Intake Clinician
About the role:
This role is telephone based / virtual care providing comprehensive assessments, brief interventions and service linkage for our young people and carers experiencing acute Mental Health issues across the district.
We comprise of a multidisciplinary team who provide daily clinical governance and strongly support mentoring, individual and group supervision. Access to Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) education framework is readily available and includes in-services, a thorough orientation plus internal and external training opportunities.

Whilst this is a full time position, part time/job share arrangements will also be considered.

Requirements:
- Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program) which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association and (where relevant) general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- For appointment at Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2: completed relevant post-registration qualification/s in Mental Health and at least 3 years' clinical experience in Mental Health.
